Ambia Architecture for the Washington State Department of Corrections
White Shield supported Ambia and the Washington State Department of Corrections with topographic surveys and verification of utility location, to include compilation of existing aerial mapping, previous consultants electronic utility maps, and new site plan information acquired by RTK GPS and conventional methods. Areas were encountered that contained undocumented underground utilities. Ground penetrating radar was employed to identify these areas, facilitate design, and prevent major construction change orders. This project involved development of 165± acres for the pre-design and construction of various facilities in the Close Custody Compound Expansion.
