Northwest Wind Partners for enXco
White Shield supported Northwest Wind Partners and EnXco with initial boundary and ALTA surveys for this wind energy
project located in the Goodnoe Ridge area located southeast of Goldendale, WA. Proposed infrastructure included 76 2-
megawatt wind turbines, additional access roads and electrical collection circuits that connect to the BPA HanfordJohn Day 500KV line.
Two ALTA surveys were produced for this project that involved 8,000+ acres covering 18 sections of land, and included the recovery and monumentation of 50+ PLSS corners. White Shield provided Right-of-Way, topographic, and base mapping surveys for a 12-mile power line corridor and mapped existing microwave beam path locations relative to the turbine placements. A new substation site plan was also developed. Detail surveys to support the final engineering design were provided to MA Mortenson, the design-build contractor for the project.
Other pertinent information produced by other environmental professionals was incorporated into the final base maps, which included data from the cultural, avian, wetland, and noise setback limit studies. Survey deliverables included AutoCAD LDD 2007 drawing and support folders, and a MicroStation V8 conversion for the Bonneville Power administrative review.
