December 2021- Fadi Farra, Managing Partner of global consulting firm Whiteshield, has been named as one of the leading professionals in Consulting magazine’s 2021 Top 25 Consultants. The annual award honours professionals making the most significant impact within the consulting industry. Farra is recognised for Excellence in Public Sector.

Whiteshield is known for its innovative algorithms and ideas in the field of economic public policy and strategy. Starting from its small London office, the firm now operates globally.

What does winning this award mean to you?

“This is first and foremost a recognition for our staff and clients, who help turn new ideas into reality every day, ultimately helping people have a better life.”

What’s been the biggest factor in your success?

“Innovation – always pushing the boundaries to rethink, from scratch, any pre-conceived assumption, and putting behind it the R&D required to support any disruptive idea. But above all this, we need to have the courage to stand by our findings, even if they go against the tide. This thinking is now being codified in a new book called ‘Quantum governance’, which puts the citizen back at the centre of public policy, with a new set of public accounts that put the human at its core.”

And ‘connecting the dots. More specifically, developing, with our team of economists and data scientists, innovative algorithms that can help policymakers see the ‘whole country’ big picture to find sustainable solutions.”

What has motivated you to excel over the course of your career?

“Having a wide and positive impact on people’s lives, and building a firm geared to support this purpose in an efficient and innovative way.”

For example, we have been working with policymakers over the past 2 years to help them face the COVID-19 challenge with a unique and innovative algorithm that could anticipate the COVID impact on society, saving lives. This was a very proud moment in times of despair.

Equally important for me was helping re-ignite global trade by applying a Nash equilibrium in the form of a loyalty programme – The World Logistics Passport – encouraging countries to work, not compete, to increase trade, jobs, and prosperity.

Life is short. Using my experience and learning to make the world a better place has always been my inner driver.”
